Keeping House

Today I am playing "Stay at home mom". My mom, older sister and cousin just left for Lake Ellen and my dad is flying home from Houston today. So, it's just me and a sick Haley today. I made myself a list of things to get done and this time I know I'm going to get them done. First of all I am very proud of myself for keeping up with my laundry. I had three loads worth this morning and I've already done it all! It usually takes me at LEAST a full day to do laundry. I also did the dishes and cleaned the kitchen. I still have a couple things left to do on my list but not much. One thing I like about playing "Stay at home mom", is I get to tell Haley to clean up her stuff and take care of things! And she's actually listening to me! Haley wants me to make banana bread for her. Is that something that a stay at home mom does? Hmmm maybe I will help HER make banana bread...or maybe not because she is kind of germy right now.

Something that I have been thinking about lately is what kind of role I want to have in my household someday. I know I want to be a stay at home mom and potentially homeschool my kids. I also want to be a hard worker. Since I want to be a hard worker, I know I can't just become a hard worker when I have my own family someday, I need to practice working hard now. I need to start practicing good time management now so that someday when I'm out of this house, I can handle my own schedule and not have to rely on my mom. I want to be a set-apart woman that practices what she preaches. Someday I want to have and orderly household. I just read an article by Leslie Ludy about how she runs her household and raises her children in a way that brings glory to the Lord! It appealed to me so much! No matter how hard it is I want to work hard to achieve that sort of lifestyle. I know I won't be able to do it without complete surrender and focus on the Lord! I want my someday home (and home now) to reflect Jesus Christ in every possible angle! The way I raise my kids, the way I run my house and the way i treat my future husband.

Proverbs 31:26-31
26 She speaks with wisdom,
and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
27 She watches over the affairs of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “Many women do noble things,
but you surpass them all.”
30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
31 Honor her for all that her hands have done,
and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

Interesting set of days

The good thing about having a blog no one reads is that I don't have to post daily in order to please people :) Yesterday I had a birthday party. It was pretty epic! Much more fun than last year's! We started out playing Twister. I, as usual, was the first one down. I don't remember who won but that was one of the longest twister games ever! After twister, I think we ate supper. Yeah we did. We had tacos! yummy! Then, we went and played the wii pictionary game that hannah brought and the yellow team (my team) WON! After pictionary, we played Just Dance 2. That seems to be a hit whenever people come over. We played that for quite a while until everyone got hungry for cake. I was a little nervous about blowing out 17 candles but I blew them all out in one short breath. My cake was marble with chocolate and white whipped frosting! It was so yummy that I had some for breakfast this morning hehehehe! After we ate cake, I opened presents and I got a lot of chocolate! Haha! I also got some really cute scarves, lighthouse and itunes gift certificates, and KOOLAID!!! YES! :D After I was done with presents, we played will you buy my donkey, the kumba game and signs! Then it was 10 oclock and people had to go home :( except for bethy, tami and billie. They stayed over night and we watched a horror movie! I got a nightmare (only one)

Today, I bought some songs from itunes with my gift cards. I've been listening to some of them and I am getting some inspiration for some choreography!!! :D :D :D

My Take on LIFE!

Hey! This is Cana from Cana's Chaos! I'm starting a new blog. I decided that I need a place to talk about what's going on in my life and a place to unleash all of my random thoughts. It's kind of like an online journal! Speaking of a journal, I need to start writing in mine again. I have never finished a whole journal back to back. I have my current one filled out half way which would definitely be called progress if I hadn't started it three years ago.

Today I woke up at my cousins house. After we were all up, we made waffles and then I got a text saying that we had to rush home to clean. Bethy came home with me and is now going to be living at our house until she goes to camp on Thursday with my mom and sister. After we cleaned, I thought bethy was going to have a spaz attack because she was so excited to play Sonic R. I think she was a little bit disappointed that the steering is different but she adjusted and is back to playing with her old Sonic R skills. After we played that, we ate and then we sat around and then we went in the hot tub. It's been a good day :)
